Patriots fans are some of the worst — from a lifelong Patriots fan

(originally published February 7, 2017, after the Patriots Super Bowl parade. 28–3 Falcons)

(I am adding this preface because I’ve heard from people who were offended by my title. This title is obviously hyperbolic. If you’re a Patriots fan and not like these embarrassing people, then you have nothing to worry about. I thought I didn’t need to preface this by walking on eggshells, especially since our favorite football team has won so much: “Some Patriots fans are the worst” or “Some Patriots fans, but most definitely not the majority because Patriots fans are all amazingly benevolent angels, exhibit some embarrassing behavior and manners.” Would those titles be better for you? The best title is the next one.)

A few observations:

1. Drunk college kids are really frustrating.

On the T, there was a group of 3 college bros: one was failing at rolling a joint, losing a lot of the weed on the train floor (I was chuckling). Another was whining about needing to pee for several stops like a petulant child. Eventually he started standing up and acting like he was about to unzip his pants in front of a packed train. I’m glad his bro friends convinced him not to. He at least…
